iControl Web: HTTP Remote 1.9

Call any URL with an appropriately sized button on any of your devices: iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. The screens are customizable based on your preferences using a JSON file.

The application is well-suited for all home automation systems that have HTTP support, such as DIY, HomeWizard, PEHA-House-Control-System, PHC, DigitalSTROM, KNX, Control4, and Domoticz. It can be utilized for controlling IP cameras (e.g., Mobotix) or as a remote control for certain HDMI DLNA adapters. The app and watch app can also be utilized to trigger IFTTT.

To summarize: Utilize iTunes file sharing (in Finder) or the Files App to obtain a sample JSON file for your configuration (also downloadable from GitHub). Rename your file "gui.json." The sample includes the complete structure, and it's recommended to use a JSON editor. In case you make mistakes in your "gui.json," delete the file from the app to obtain a new "guiSample.json." HTTP or HTTPS can be used to call a remote command within this app or other recognized URL schemes to open another app (iPhone/iPad only).

Support for self-signed certificates is intentionally omitted. Various free options are available to obtain certificates of different types. For instance, Let’s Encrypt can serve as a starting point for your search.

The app can be operated using its custom protocol icontrol://, which currently supports command execution only. Refer to "guiSample.json" for an example.
